Certifications
In addition to being certified both Kosher and Halal, OptiMSM is the only GRAS-designated MSM on the market. GRAS (“generally recognized as safe”) is the designation given by the FDA to substances considered safe for direct or indirect additives to foods. The GRAS designation allows OptiMSM to be used in various food and beverage categories including thirst quencher and smoothie drinks, granola bars, high-protein bars, and fortified high-energy bars. The GRAS designation is supported by a non-objection letter from the FDA, the highest GRAS status currently attainable.

Recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative, FSSC22000 combines ISO 22000:2005 with additional requirements for prerequisite programs for the safety of food in food manufacturing.
