Supporting Safety in the Industry

Bergstrom Nutrition is working with the United Natural Products Alliance to ensure quality and purity of supplement ingredients. We support UNPA's recommendations to take safety and product purity seriously

• Establish a priority for analytical method development or revisions to detect such adulteration and spiking.
• Recommend revised certificate of analysis format for these categories.
• Provide specific advice to industry stakeholders who have expressed a willingness to investigate and take action on such matters, including trade show organizers, publications, health professionals, etc.
• Inform government officials of specific problem areas and seek their cooperation to inspect, analyze and interdict such products.
• Advise organizations such as NSF, USP, TGA and others of hot spot areas and recommend that their certification programs specifically include compliance procedures with respect to these categories.
